Problem: Contractor 6.1 installation fails – does not install SQL Server 2005
Problem: Contractor 6.1 installation fails when installing .net Framework 2.0.
Fix:

In Internet Explorer go to Tools, Windows Update.



Choose to install all updates with the exception of service pack 3.


Windows update will automatically install the necessary software including .net Framework 2.0.


Reboot machine.


Re-try Contractor 6.1 installation after all updates have been applied.
