Problem: How to display curtain downtime in Pertmaster.
Problem: What is Curtain Downtime?
Problem: Is it possible to display non-working time from a calendar across all tasks in the Gantt Chart?
Fix: Curtain downtime can be used to display downtime based on a selected calendar.  The downtime will be shown for all tasks in the Gantt Chart, even for those to which it does not apply. It has no effect on the scheduling of tasks but is useful for highlighting periods in a project such as winter, hurricane season or canals frozen.

To show curtain downtime:


Launch Pertmaster
Format | Gantt Chart | Curtain Downtime


  • Click in the check box labeled Show this Calendar.

  • Using the drop down list button find and select the calendar for which you would like to display the downtime.

  • Select where you want the curtain downtime drawn (Behind Bars and Downtime, Between Bars and Downtime or In Front of Bars and Downtime).

  • Change the Style of the curtain downtime if required.

  • Click on OK.
