Problem: Assigning a Resource in the Gantt Chart Primary Resource Column does not obey the “send email” options.
Problem: Email notifications not working when Assigning Resource using the Primary Resource Column.

Fix: This known problem in P6 6.x has been corrected in version P6 v7.0.  Please consult the product documentation for additional information.

Add the Assignment through the Activity Details page, which will properly cause the e-mail to be sent.
