Requirements

This Group Server service pack can be applied to any Group Server 6.1 deployment; including previous service packs and fix packs. See the Primavera Administrator’s Guide for information on installing Group Server.

Fixes and New Features from Previous Releases

· Support for LDAP referrals. LDAP referral is a method for a domain controller to indicate to a client application that it does not have a copy of a requested object, and giving the client a location where the object might be found. The client can then use DNS to search for it.

· prim60603: P6 Projects View layout displays differently after launching and closing timesheets

· prim68889: Custom button in timesheets not capturing username and password.

File Included with the Patch

The following file is included with this patch (its default location is listed in blue).

GS_Inst.exe (C:\<any local directory>)

Applying the Patch

1. From the Windows Control Panel, select TPGS Administrator.

2. Make a record of the properties settings for each TPGS instance by selecting the instance on the Administration tab and then noting its settings on the Properties tab.

3. Close the TPGS Administrator.

4. Stop the Group Server service.

5. From the Windows Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs, uninstall Group Server.

6. Copy GS_Inst.exe (included in the patch) to any local directory, and run it.

7. If prompted, enter your product key (the same key used when Group Server 6.1 was first installed, located on the Primavera installation CD label).

8. From the Windows Control Panel, select TPGS Administrator.

9. Restart the TPGS Administrator and re-create the non-primary instances you made a record of in step 2, above.

10. Repeat the following steps for each primary and non-primary instance:

a. On the Administration tab, select an instance and click the Properties tab.

b. On the Properties tab, mark the Show Advanced Properties check box.

c. Define the properties for each instance. To enable “dirty” reads for Group Server database connections, edit the new properties Apply Session Setting and Session Setting.

i. In the Database section, for the Apply Session Setting property, change the value to Yes.

ii. In the Database section, for the Session Setting property, enter the SQL command SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED.

11. Close the TPGS Administrator.

12. If you have multiple instances, re-create the Web site folder for each non-primary instance. See the “Configuring the Group Server for Timesheets” chapter in the Primavera Administrator’s Guide for details.

13. Restart the Group Server service for your changes to take effect.
